ABOUT US

Beauty with a deeper purpose.
Crafted for the community, guided by heritage.

Pili Ani is the only skincare brand in the world that uses both Pili and Elemi Oils in every product—two rare and powerful ingredients sourced from the resilient Pili Tree, native only to the Philippines. These oils are more than just hero ingredients; they’re the heart of our formulations and the soul of our story.

But Pili Ani is more than skincare. It’s a love letter to our culture, our land, and the people who make it all possible. Every bottle reflects a commitment to ethical sourcing, thoughtful craftsmanship, and sustainability—ensuring that the land we borrow from, and the communities who care for it, are honored and supported at every step.

We believe true beauty is never just skin deep—it’s rooted in purpose, nurtured by care, and made more radiant through authenticity. And we’re proud to share that with the world

Pure. Potent. Proudly Filipino

HOW IT ALL STARTED

Born from a simple act of kindness—Pili Ani grew into a movement rooted in care, community, and the richness of the Filipino land.

Our story begins in the verdant fields of Bicol, where our founder, Rosalina Tan, met a farmer named Noli. He was selling a small bottle of hand-pressed Pili Oil to raise enough money to return home to his family. Rosalina bought it—not because she needed it, but because she wanted to help. That one heartfelt gesture became the spark for something much bigger.

Rosalina, a longtime advocate for organic farming and natural living, became deeply curious about the oil’s potential. As she experimented, infusing Pili Oil into handmade lipsticks gifted to friends and family, the feedback was immediate—everyone was amazed at how it softened, soothed, and nourished their skin. What began as a gesture of goodwill quickly revealed itself to be something truly special.
Together with her daughter, Mary Jane, she explored the full potential of the Pili Tree. They discovered that beyond its prized nut, the often-overlooked pulp was packed with antioxidants that protect and renew the skin. Even more remarkable was Elemi Oil, a rare resin from the same tree, already being used in high-end French skincare for its rejuvenating properties.

But what inspired Pili Ani’s deeper purpose was what they uncovered next: overharvesting of Elemi was harming the trees, threatening their survival and the livelihood of local farmers. Rosalina responded by launching an agricultural education program, teaching sustainable harvesting methods that protect the trees while supporting the hands that care for them.
By 2014, Pili Ani had a clear mission:
• To create effective, clean, and natural skincare powered by Pili and Elemi Oils
• To empower farming communities by providing training, promoting earth-friendly practices, and leading reforestation efforts rooted in long-term stewardship.
• And to honor Filipino heritage by building a brand deeply rooted in tradition and purpose

In 2016, Pili Ani officially launched in the Philippines—and a year later, in the U.S.

Today, farmer Noli still harvests the oils that enrich every bottle.

OUR SIGNATURE INGREDIENTS

Pili Oil, extracted from the fruit, is rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids, delivering deep hydration and long-lasting moisture that surpasses even Argan and Jojoba oils. It protects, replenishes, and restores, keeping skin resilient against environmental stressors.

Elemi Oil, tapped from the bark, has been prized in beauty rituals for centuries. A natural skin-refining agent, it helps to firm, purify, and renew, giving skin a lifted and luminous glow. It’s the missing piece in modern skincare—an ingredient so rare and so potent, yet deeply rooted in tradition.
At Pili Ani, we bring these oils to life through high-performance, synergistic formulations. We blend them with pure, vegan, and natural ingredients that enhance their potency. Every product is thoughtfully made to nourish your skin, while staying true to the land it came from.
OUR PROMISE

Pili Ani is a celebration of heritage, sustainability, and community. And with every product, we uphold a simple but powerful promise:

To honor the land that gives so generously.
To uplift the hands that cultivate it.
And to craft skincare that is as pure and powerful as nature intended.

We follow traditional tapping techniques, waiting 5–6 years before Elemi resin is harvested, allowing each tree to grow and regenerate without stress. No pesticides, no stimulants, no shortcuts—just patience, respect, and a deep trust in the process of nature.

HOW WE GIVE BACK

Every Pili Ani purchase supports reforestation, sustainable farming, and local livelihood in Bicol.

We've planted over 250 Pili Trees and are working with the Philippine government to grow 20,000 more—restoring forests and protecting biodiversity.

Our farm-to-skin model ensures that ingredients are ethically sourced, communities are uplifted, and nature is respected every step of the way. We continuously seek low-impact solutions to reduce waste and conserve resources—because for us, beauty is as much about care as it is about results.

Beauty that nurtures. Heritage that endures. A future shaped by conscious care and authenticity—this is Pili Ani.

Good for your skin. Good for the environment. Good to know.
